That’s TWO short track victories for Ty Gibbs in 2026 as he, on two tires, held off teammate Christopher Bell in the closing laps to win Iowa.
Gibbs was victorious earlier in the season at Bristol, holding off Ryan Blaney for what would be his first career NASCAR Cup Series win.
The yound Joe Gibbs Racing driver now moves up to SECOND in the point standings, an incredible feat as only Denny Hamlin sits above him.
Bell and Blaney finished second and third, respectively, with Josh Berry scoring an incredible finish in fourth for Wood Brothers Racing. Hamlin was fifth.
Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, AJ Allmendinger, William Byron, and Austin Dillon rounded out the top-10 finishers.
Another notable finish includes Connor Zilisch in 11th place, after qualifying in the eighth position and running inside the top-15 the entire day.
