In his 424th start, the veteran Ryan Sieg finally has collected his first career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory.
It was not the record they planned on grabbing, but Sieg is in fact a record holder now in NASCAR, setting the record for the most starts before that first win.
Sieg got out front late and held off two of the fastest cars to do so, the No. 21 of Austin Hill and the No. 1 of Carson Kvapil.
RSS Racing now goes to victory lane for the second time in the organization’s history, dating back to when they got their first with Aric Almirola at Sonoma years ago.
